Six electric car myths debunked
Just found a great article that debunks 6 myths big oil, the media and "haters" have conjured up about why electric cars are bad.
Now granted, the Prius is not all electric yet, but an all electric version is rumored to hit the market in 2012. And for those who are interested, it's easy to convert current models to an all electric version if you have the bank roll.
As sad as it is that big oil was able to squash the EV1s of the 90's (check out the fantastic documentary Who Killed the Electric Car), here's hoping they won't have the same success with the new generation of electric cars. Just think where electric technology would be today if the EV1s had survived... sad.
Check out the full article that debunks these six myths:
1. A some point, these electric batteries will just end up in a landfill
2. No one wants them.
3. Electric cars are no less pollutive than conventional cars.
4. Our grid can't handle them.
5. Electric cars are not as energy efficient as gas powered cars.
6. Can't sell electric cars without subsidies.

Heating and cooling account for about 56% of the energy use in a typical U.S. home. This makes them the biggest opportunity for saving money on your energy bill.
